The Artist
Stephany Angers

Stephany Angers — with works from In-Between
About the Artist
Stephany Angers is an emerging Montréal-based artist who received her BFA in Studio Arts from Concordia University in 2025. Her work moves between painting and textile. Although her primary interest lies in exploring the psychological aspects of the human experience through painting, she also explores material possibilities.
Artistic Practice
Stephany’s practice explores the psychological dimensions of human experience through painting, drawing from the body, emotions, and the relationship between the individual and their surroundings. Her work moves between figuration and abstraction, allowing forms and figures to emerge, fragment, and dissolve. Material exploration is equally central to her practice. Through texture, gesture, color, and the combination of different materials, she investigates how a simple theme can expand into endless visual and conceptual possibilities. Rather than treating material as merely a means of representation, she allows the physical qualities of the medium to influence and transform the ideas within the work.
